Del Norte Volleyball
It looks like it will be a wild volleyball season in the Big Five Conference this year.

Tuesday night, Arcata knocked off Del Norte 3-2 in the Tigers’ gym, leaving the Warriors and Arcata tied with 1-1 records in conference play. Del Norte is 16-4 overall this season.

Surprisingly, Eureka currently stands on top of the standings at 2-0.
On Thursday, 0-1 McKinleyville comes to Crescent City for a 6:30 p.m. meeting with the Warriors. Fortuna, 0-1, will be at Arcata.

Del Norte Girls Soccer
A few mistakes led to a 3-0 loss to Ferndale for the Del Norte High girls’ soccer team Tuesday afternoon in Crescent City.

Ferndale remained undefeated this season, and improved its Little Four Conference record to 2-0, while the Warriors are now 1-1 in conference matches, tied with St. Bernard’s, while South Fork is 0-2.

Overall, this season, the Warriors are 4-2-2, with a non-conference match at home Saturday against Arcata. Game time is set for 1 p.m.
