Senior Bria Larson and freshman Michael Mavris led the Del Norte High Speech and Debate team at a tournament this past weekend at the University of California-Davis.

For the first time in several years, the Del Norte team took part in the debate portion of the competition. Both Larson and Mavris posted 2 - 2 records, which advisor Douglas Craven called “impressive.” Also turning in solid performances for the Warriors were freshmen Fiona and Falak Panchal.

On Nov. 8, the team will be taking part in its next competition in Sacramento.
