The Del Norte High Marching Band continued its string of successes earlier
this month, performing at the Pride of the Northwest Marching Band
competition in Grants Pass, Ore.

During the preliminary performances, the Warriors finished second in the
AAA division.

Then, competing against 11 other schools from around Oregon, Del Norte
placed sixth, besting Portland-area school Hillsboro High, North Valley of
hometown Grants Pass, and Brookings-Harbor High, among others.
Eighty-six Del Norte students took part.

“The students are proud of their work,” said Director Daniel Sedgwick.
“This was the second high score we have received at this event. All in all, it’s
been a great season. We will make improvements where we need to.”
